Teacher Training Course (CAP Curso de Aptitud Pedagógica)

The CAP course is exclusively intended to provide graduates looking to work in the secondary education sector with training on didactics and psychopedagogy. As an enrolment requisite, applicants must already hold their graduation title or have paid a deposit for it.

The course is structured in two cycles: theory and practice.

- Theoretical cycle. Study of education basics and fundamentals needed to become a teacher, finding a balance between general pedagogic training and the specific didactics of the corresponding discipline.

- Practical cycle. CAP students are put in contact with real activities in a secondary school in order to take theoretical modules to the practice. The practical cycle takes place in secondary schools.

- Schedule. A provisional application form can be submitted from July to September by those who have already paid the deposit for the graduation title. It can be submitted personally at the Staff Development Centre (closed in August) or via the Internet (www.uv.es/sfp). The order in submitting the forms does not set any priority, as group selection is done afterwards. The enrolment fee is set by Generalitat Valenciana (regional government).
